Madurai Malli, or Madurai Jasmine (Jasminum sambac), is a flower, cultural symbol, and a central aspect in the life of Tamil Nadu, where its fragrance and meaning shape religious practice, daily life, agrarian labour, and the community's identity. This research project examines how the flower's identity evolves as it travels from local farms to global markets and the perspective of these stakeholders in the Madurai Malli ecosystem
