In this research paper, Theyyam, an indigenous form of ritual performance, is explored. It is practiced in the northern districts of Kerala. This analysis is concerned with explaining the contributions made by the different elements of Theyyam towards transformation. Theyyam is not considered to be a static cultural phenomenon, but instead looked at as a process of forming beliefs, reorganising society, and creating an echo through bodily performance
