Evolution of Trade
This research explores the intricate world of Batik printing in Bherugarh, Ujjain, focusing on its historical evolution, artistic processes, and economic and cultural significance Findings indicate that while Bherugarh's Batik tradition has retained its cultural essence, artisans face critical challenges such as dependency on imported raw materials, lack of documented export data, and increasing competition from mass-produced textiles.Despite these challenges, Batik artisans continue to adapt by exploring new markets, experimenting with designs, and leveraging government initiatives like One District One Product (ODOP)
