Mário João Carlos do Rosário de Brito Miranda, better known as Mario de Miranda, sketched strokes in ink, he brought to life the places he delineated, with layers of color and complexity in skillful craftsmanship. Miranda whipped up whimsical comics that were able to capture the true spirit of “Goanness.”The research highlights that his cartoons, famously known for emphasizing issues of Goan society's multicultural fabric, the impact of social norms, and the amusing contrast between urban and rural life, served as more than just entertainment for social commentary.
