Framing Careers: Photography Education at the Light & Life Academy in Ooty, Tamil Nadu

This research project discusses the evolution of visual media, particularly photography, which is one of the youngest visual communicative art forms throughout the years in India. Our research will focus on the evolution of photography in India, specifically looking at the Light and Life Academy in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. Started by Iqbal Mohamed and Anuradha Iqbal in 2001, when they recognised the need for an institute that encourages and teaches the art of visual storytelling, it is one of the most renowned establishments of its kind in the country today.
