This research project focuses on the community-led conservation of turtles in Velas, Maharashtra, where eco-tourism serves as both a conservation strategy and an economic incentive.The research study investigates three main aspects: how eco-tourism uses economic incentives to promote community-led conservation efforts, how communities develop conservation sensitization, and the role of state intervention in supporting the existing initiatives.
