Puravanthike-Veeragase are traditional folk dance forms originating in the state of Karnataka, India, in circa 12th century CE during the emergence of the Veerashaiva community and the Lingayat movement. Research Focuses on dance,costumes,music etc. Research also looks into chronological periods that caused the evolution and analyze the shifts that have shaped present-day Puravanthike-Veeragase.The research also examines the role of patrons and the community in preserving the dance forms and traditions
