Western Maharashtra is rich in its storytelling and art traditions like Dashavatar, Powada, Gondhal, Chitrakathi painting, and Kalasutri Bahuliya. These art forms have held great importance in the life of the local community, but due to the recent change, globalization, urbanisation, modernization and digitalisation, the locals have lost touch with their roots. The study explores the evolution of these traditions in the past decade, focusing on various struggles faced by the artists.
