Linking Traditions through centuries : Ajrakh block print
Ajrakh Block Print is a type of textile design which has been seen from cattle herders to New York ramp-walkers. This reserch study explores how the Ajrakh Block Print has been worn and utilized by the people who primarily use it- the artisans. Therefore, researchers studied the lives of Khatris in Kutch- who are the primary producers of the craft, and the changes in Ajrakh block print brought about due to the commercialization and effect on economy.
