This project focuses on Nawalgarh, a small town in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, India, as a case study for the exquisite havelis and frescoes and the heritage which is carried by them. The project examines the link between the heritage of Nawalgarh and its havelis and frescoes, both historically and in contemporary times. The project concludes that by creating a balance between tourism and heritage preservation efforts, we can ensure the sustainable conservation of the region’s heritage for future generations.
